You don’t need to think too much about actually content at this stage, more about design ideas.

From the examples that you show your web developer they should then be able to gage the sort of website that you are after and should be able to provide you with a few costing options. This should not be a high pressured sales pitch and it’s always an idea to go away and consider your options rather than agreeing to anything there and then.
