Understanding the correct images to use on your website

As a website designer and programmer, one of the most common issues I come across when designing a site, is the images that clients want to use. There are many issues that can arise from images including incorrect size, poor quality or simply just lack of images. This can slow down the whole process of building a site and mean that deadlines are missed.

If you wish to use an image on your home page that will span across the width of the page, then bare this in mind when you are choosing the image. The image may only be a few centimetres deep but several wide and so the correct aspect will need to be used.

Ideally you should hire a photographer which can cost only a few hundred pounds for half a day. This can mean the differences between a quality, professional looking site that is ready on time and one that looks very amateur and has been delayed for months.
